Everybody falls down. People of hope keep getting back up.
Life has a way of knocking all of us down at some point.
In fact, you may be walking through a season right now where you feel like life is picking on you in particular.
Winston Churchill gave the famous "Never Give Up" speech. It seems like these words weren't just lip service for Churchill. Apparently he learned how to live these words.
A Story of Hope
Winston Churchill failed the 6th grade. However, that never stopped him to work harder! He strived and eventually became the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom during the Second World War. Churchill is generally regarded as one of the most important leaders in Britain and world history. In a poll conducted by the BBC in 2002 to identify the "100 Greatest Britons", participants voted Churchill as the most important of all.
People of hope begin to see difficult season not as just trials, but as rights of passage ... a season to learn new lessons - even through struggles.
Today, may you re-discover hope. May this hope give you passion to "get back up" and "get in the game."
Even if you feel currently feel like Winston did as he flunked out of 6th grade ... may you find the strength to press on and become all that you have been designed to become.
