KRISTINE NOVOTNY, LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
LMFT 51348
My desire in therapy is to provide a safe and supportive environment while exploring the areas in your life that you would like to change or improve. I work collaboratively with my clients, while also providing specific tools and techniques to help begin the process of change and growth.
Therapy is structured uniquely to to befit the needs and goals of each client. Within my practice I work with individuals, couples and families. Topics in individual therapy include depression and anxiety, grow, self-awareness, anger management, and stress management.
Couples work often centers on communication, conflict resolution, and emotional and physical intimacy. Common topics that I have addressed with families include conflict between siblings, ways to improve communication skills, boundary setting, life-transitions, and developing strategies to resolve specific challenges.
In addition to my private practice experience, I also provided group and individual counseling in middle and elementary schools. In this role, I helped students develop social skills, deal with loss and grief, tackle anger management skills, and develop strong communication skills.
